Here are ten things you can do  while you wait for our Dexter washing machines to complete their 24 minute cycles. 

Meditate!

Giving yourself even just a few minutes of intentional reflection can really have a positive impact on the rest of your day. Here's the link to a 5 minute guided meditation that you can do anywhere at any time. 

Stroll to a movie location!

A leisurely  walk begins from our laundromat and takes you to the gorgeous Tallebudgera Creek waterfront (and back again) in a 640m circuit. See the image below for exact route. The Tallebudgera Estuary is lush and was one of the Gold Coast locations where the 2006 mermaid movie Aquamarine was filmed. 

Have coffee, breakfast or lunch!

How lucky are we? We are right next door to Hidden Perk, one of the most popular cafes in Burleigh Heads. They have fantastic coffee and a great menu with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options too. They're open 5.30am to 3.30pm Mon to Sat and 6am to 2.30pm on Sundays. 

Enjoy an ice-cream!

Koala Park General Store is just 3 doors up from our Laundromat and open 6am - 6pm. Enjoy an ice-cream or cold drink and pick up the paper! 

Support our locals!

Visit our lush National Park!

The entrance to Burleigh Heads National Park is  300m from our Laundromat. In 24 minutes you probably can't venture too far along its Ocean View Track, but it's still well-worth a shorter stroll. The track is along a rocky foreshore and through a rainforest. In spring look out to sea for migrating whales and look up all year round to see sea-eagles soaring above you!

Take a free book!

Our Laundromat is  part of the LittleFreeLibrary.org movement which is all about promoting literature, literacy and a love of reading. Our free book exchange has many titles for you to choose from. Feel free to take a book and leave one too if you remembered to bring one to swap.  If you don't have a book to leave - that's okay - take one anyway and we hope you enjoy it!

Go on the swings!

As you exit our laundromat and turn right you'll find a lovely shaded playground just a few metres away  - on the corner of Ikkina Road and Tawarri Crescent. It has a slide, swings, a spinny thing that makes you dizzy (don't ask! lol), a see-saw, seating and a picnic table. 

Find your way around Iceland or Japan!
